As summer draws to a close, we’re seeing some interesting shifts in the housing market. New home listings in the U.S. have risen by 1.2%, reaching a three-month high. At the same time, pending sales have dipped by 1.3%—the lowest since March. It’s also notable that the median asking price has edged down by 0.1%, even though the median sale price is still up 1.8% compared to last year. These numbers reflect the ongoing impact of higher mortgage rates and economic uncertainty.
